At Grimm, our expertise in creating concepts and brands often have to manifest in the interior design of venues and locations. We consider and marry three important elements when applying ourselves in an interior design capacity:

  1. A keen eye for aesthetics

  2. An understanding of social habits

  3. Optimisation of operational flow

Our intended result is a venue that not just looks relevant to its intended customers, but also makes them feel good by playing up on social habits that they are used to. This, accompanied with optimised operational design, means a free-er flow of purchases.

Grimm consults in the following areas by working with appointed interior design agencies:

- Concept stage advisory (ie. translating intended brand concept to design brief, layout brief)

- Mood board design and brief

- Material usage and sourcing

- Layout and operational flow

- Liaison with designers and artists

VICE LIFE NIGHTCLUB

Conceptualised based on the excitement of partygoing and the little quirks that make partygoers tick, VICE aimed to showcase this concept in its pregame bar, main club and premium balcony with quirky, attention-grabbing wall elements that shouted edgy, over-the-top fun, in a luxe setting. Grimm was inspired by Musee Club Madrid and Miss Collins Melbourne in coming up with the decor and worked with interior designers and contractors to bring these concepts to life.

WAN RESTAURANT, BAR & NIGHTCLUB

Lavish, playful & exuberant. WAN is an elaborate ‘Asian utopian’ after-dark play-space, centrally located at Singapore’s prime commercial complex, Suntec City, offering both a premium nightclub & outdoor bar + kitchen. Named after the three forms of experience we want to provide customers - Play, Night, and Food (bowl), adults can look forward to a uniquely branded experience with surprises at every corner.

In the competitive space of Suntec City, we strategised every element of WAN outdoor gastrobar to illustrate its cheeky, whimsical Asian-inspired vibes. From the bright logo and neon sign to attract people from afar, to its curated music playlist, fairylight and artwork display, down to the cutlery, menu, furniture, napkins and coasters. Everything was taken into consideration for the overall customer experience.

Moving in to the VIP nightclub space, Grimm planned everything meticulously to make this place iconic. The intoxicating irezumi inspired artwork. The flickering neon sign reminiscent of yesteryear Hong Kong. The cage. The whimsical swing by the DJ booth. The cheongsam VIP server uniforms. The oriental-pop culture fusion video content playing in the television screen displays.

WAN featured Singapore’s first aquarium bar top, we made sure every detail was eye-catching and deliberate. Premium champagne bottles, customised drinking glasses, thematic showcase items and old Chinese coins scattered across the sand. Then the highlight, bathed in a mystic neon blue light, artificial jellyfish sourced from Australia that were so life-like that patrons were often heard exclaiming that they were real even after close examination
